Bank Of America Refuses 2nd Amendment Supporting Businesses

Bank of America refuses to do business with McMillan Group International and is citing political reasons for such. McMillan Companies has been in business for almost 40 years and is the producer of tactical and hunting firearms.

BofA asked McMillan Firearms to find another banking institution and cited “political reasons” for their decision. BofA action toward the company in effect is taking down the 2nd Amendment.

The company has been involved with BofA in doing business with them for over twelve years and mentioned they had never had a late payment nor have they ever bounced a check to BofA.

Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking [of Bank of America] came to Kelly McMillan, Director of Operations office. The scheduled meeting was supposed to be an ‘account analysis’ in order to evaluate the lines of credit McMillan had with BofA.

Five minutes into the meeting Mr. Fox was talking about how McMillan has changed over the last five years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer and less of a supplier of accessories.

At that point, she interrupted him and asked, ‘Can I [possibly] save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.’

‘That is correct’ he [said].

I replied ‘That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?’

‘You have to do what you must’ he said.

‘So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?’

Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing left for him to say.

What is particularly interesting about the whole story is that armed private security staff are outside of BofA institutions, including military banking facilities and greet your arrival.
