Occupy Wall Street activists, labor unions, along with home foreclosure victims have begun massive demonstrations outside Bank of America’s shareholder’s meeting in Charlotte, N.C.
Bank of America has become the primary culprit for the Great Recession due to their bad record on foreclosures, the environment and being a bailout bank. Disgruntled shareholders are proposing votes to force the bank to refrain from political spending and to review their foreclosure practices. Foreclosure victim testimony during this meeting is hopefully going to occur.
Protestors have also been vocal over Bank of America’s relationship with the federal government, their long record of foreclosure abuse and also the coal industry. All of the marches to be conducted will be focusing on all of these issues and then run into larger protest.
